Meaghan Slack is an artist/illustrator born and based in Orlando, FL. She explores topics of change, nostalgia, and the value of life through paintings, drawings, and digital illustrations. She earned her BFA degree in Studio Art specializing in Drawing/Illustration in Fall of 2022.

Statement

My work explores themes of change, the passing of time, nostalgia and the value of life. As a Christian artist, I believe that life is a gift from God and there is a call to purpose and gratitude because tomorrow is not promised. Through painting with fast-drying acrylics and other mediums, I capture the precious, yet passed by moments of everyday life. I hope to reveal the potency of mundanity, and the hidden spaces of home life that may never be the same again.
